Meet the people behind The Tepper Foundation

Randi Tepper is the Chief Executive Officer of The Tepper Foundation, where she leads the Foundation’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations. Since joining her family’s foundation in 2020, Randi has built on the decades of philanthropy led by her father, David Tepper, further expanding into new areas of giving and growing the Foundation’s staff.

Under her leadership, the Foundation’s annual grantmaking has tripled to nearly $90 million, supporting efforts in food security, disaster response, anti-hate initiatives, and other areas. Working closely with the board, Randi has led the team in creating systems for the Foundation's long-term growth.

Prior to joining The Tepper Foundation, she was Chief Operating Officer of the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund. Randi began her career as a Corps Member for Teach for America in New York. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a master’s degree from Relay Graduate School of Education. Randi currently serves on the board of Blue Meridian Partners.

Shelley Skinner is the Chief Portfolio Officer at The Tepper Foundation, where she leads all of the Foundation’s grantmaking. In this role, she drives organization-wide program strategy and oversees all seven giving portfolios. Under her leadership, the Foundation’s annual grantmaking has nearly tripled, now approaching $90 million.

As the first full-time, non-family hire at The Tepper Foundation, Shelley worked closely with CEO Randi Tepper and the board, playing an instrumental role in the Foundation’s transformation from a small operation into a professionalized team of over 15 people. She played a central role in building the infrastructure and systems that have enabled the Foundation’s significant expansion in both scale and impact.

Shelley brings two decades of experience in public policy and the nonprofit sector. Before joining The Tepper Foundation, she served as the Executive Director of the Better Education Institute and its advocacy arm, Better Education for Kids.

She lives in Jersey City, NJ, with her husband and rescue dog Bubbles, and has two grown children.

Anthony Salesi is the Chief Financial Officer at The Tepper Foundation where he utilizes his public and private accounting experience to implement and oversee the foundation's accounting systems, compliance and reporting. A licensed CPA for nearly 30 years, Anthony specializes in multi-generational, high-net worth family offices and their philanthropic arms.

Larry Rogers is the Treasurer for The Tepper Foundation. With more than 15 years supporting the foundation and 40 years of financial expertise, Larry has been instrumental in grantmaking and building relationships with our grantee partners.

Celia Pivo is a Senior Portfolio Associate for New Jersey giving at The Tepper Foundation where her grantmaking centers on food and housing security, community impact and capacity-building for nonprofits. Celia brings a background in nonprofit strategy consulting and is driven by her belief in philanthropy as a conduit for ensuring that nonprofits sustain and scale their vital work.

Gabriella Barth is a Senior Portfolio Associate at The Tepper Foundation. She is driven by her aspirations to improve the wellbeing of others, particularly through her work at the foundation addressing mental health, promoting democracy and combating hate.

Jade Su is the Executive Assistant at The Tepper Foundation. Jade is motivated by the opportunity to make a difference, assisting and delivering support to the team on a day-to-day basis. Jade brings to her work extensive private sector experience in public relations and administrative support.

Jessica Johansen is the Director of Special Initiatives at The Tepper Foundation where she leads housing security, board projects and climate giving as well as coordinates the foundation’s external engagement. Passionate about bringing positive change to her community, Jessica has worked in family philanthropy for more than a decade.

Katlin Stansfield is the Senior Grants Manager for The Tepper Foundation where she manages the development, implementation and operations of the foundation’s grantmaking procedures and grants management system. She loves contributing to the process where grants grow from an idea to an initiative that makes a direct impact on people’s lives.

Marian Stern is a consultant who serves as a Portfolio Manager at The Tepper Foundation where she oversees grantmaking to Jewish community organizations and those combating antisemitism and other forms of identity-based hate. Marian also leads The Tepper Foundation’s work providing emergency grants in response to crises. She has over 40 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector, providing both consultation to mission-driven institutions and strategic advice to philanthropies.

Marni Schreiber is the Senior Portfolio and Policy Manager at The Tepper Foundation where she supports pro-democracy & anti-hate giving and manages the foundation’s policy work in New Jersey. With a background in city government and place-based grantmaking, Marni understands the unique roles that private philanthropy, local government and public-private partnerships play in supporting our communities and enacting change.

Rachel Rexroad is a Grants Associate at The Tepper Foundation where she assists with the management and tracking of grant lifecycle processes and data integrity in the grants management system. She is driven by the desire to make a positive impact through her daily work and brings five years of experience managing grants within the nonprofit sector on both the recipient and funder ends.

Rose Rodriguez is the Senior Portfolio Manager for New Jersey work at The Tepper Foundation where she leads food security, capacity building and mental health giving. With over a decade of experience in education, impact volunteering, civic engagement and more, Rose is driven by the belief that collaboration can best serve vulnerable communities and address critical challenges.
