Location: New York City. Hybrid: we are in-office every Tuesday and Thursday
Company
The Tepper Foundation was founded by David Tepper based on his vision that everyone should have equal opportunity to be successful. The Tepper Foundation supports organizations in New Jersey and across the country on the frontlines of protecting and expanding opportunity for all. Our work spans six portfolios: Food, Housing & Health; Community Impact; Crisis Response & Climate Resilience; Pro-Democracy & Anti-Hate Initiatives; Strengthening the Nonprofit Sector; and additional Board Initiatives.
Our work is grounded in the commitment of The Tepper Foundation and our grantee partners to help families find economic prosperity and stability. Our approach includes investing directly in nonprofits, strengthening the resiliency of networks and fostering deeper community ties.
This role is part of TTF, LLC, an integrated family office that manages both the philanthropic and personal interests of David Tepper and his family. Within TTF, LLC, Tepper Philanthropies oversees the family’s charitable initiatives, which are carried out through several organizations.
Opportunity
We are seeking a seasoned leader to help us architect and implement the next chapter of building out our operations—someone who brings deep operating experience in philanthropy and beyond, and who can help us build the systems, structure, and clarity needed to sustain and scale our impact over time.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual who has run large, complex initiatives but thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment. We are looking for a builder—someone who creates thoughtful systems and processes, along with the agility and mindset to adapt and rebuild them as the organization evolves. This individual will collaborate with teams across the organization and manage several vendors, but will not have any direct reports. The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple responsibilities independently and will be comfortable with transitioning work as the team grows.
The Head of Operations should be grounded, pragmatic, and purpose-driven—with the experience to lead confidently and the humility to collaborate closely with principals and team members alike. The ideal candidate will bring both structure and flexibility, recognizing when to introduce efficiencies and when to rework them to meet changing needs.
